A glorious and imposing perennial with a mound of superb, large and lobed leaves which are grey-green above and grey-white below.  These leaves continue up the stems which are topped with a feathery plume of numerous pinky-buff and fluffy flowers.  Sun or light shade and garden soil. Fantastic for height at the back of a border. China.
